Donor Suitability Workshop
January 12, 2009
Hyatt Regency
Reston, VA
Register here

The EBAA Donor Suitability Roundtable is a half-day, intensive workshop designed to provide eye bank personnel information on how to handle ambiguous and difficult donor cases, particularly cases relating to dementia and sepsis. The panel of presenters will provide background information on the medical terms and diagnoses of dementia and sepsis, as well as provide take home tools to help eye banks implement practices to ensure they are not ruling out donors unnecessarily. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will be reviewed and discussed along with model checklists that can assist banks. Case studies will be presented. This meeting will follow the AATB's Donor Suitability Workshop from January 10-12, 2009. To register for that meeting at the member price, please visit www.aatb.org.
